Hoster Database Product
Hoster originally used an Access MDB database to drive program operation. It appears that this is no longer the case. I found it useful to be able to use MS Access or Excel to take a look at the database to sort data and check for incorrect data. Is there a way to do that now? If you moved to a true SQL database, then it seems that the addition of new Generes would be a simple add to a table (unless a complete recompile is required). Also, is there a request to be able to add custom fields? I want to be able to record the year of the song for sorting in the database and songbook.

Re: Hoster Database Product
Hoster still uses Songs.mdb as well as singers.mdb.
The default place where the Songs.mdb and Singers.mdb and any other data files was changed sometime ago from C:/MTU to C:/ProgramData/mtu.com/Hoster/ which is normally in hidden folders but can easily be found from Tools menu Hoster Datafolder. These can still be opened in Access although MTU does not recommend opening any of these files in Access. Safest way to open them in Access is to create a copy first and only open the copy. Most changes you make in Access will be lost as soon as you rebuild the database. Hoster creates the Songs.mdb from the data in the kmh or kmf files. It does not write the data back from the MDB file into those files. I attach a couple clips from the Manuel with info on Microsoft Access use. Might be best to suggest your ideas for being able to add fields and genre in the Hoster new features request forum as it is more likely to be seen there by the programmer.
