help with recording

Here is the ? i have microstudio,hp pavillion dv6208 laptop,windows vista home premium 3 gigs ram,audacity software,peavey messanger p.a.system
now i can hook up laptop to p a system ang play my kma files what i want to do is record a few songs of my daughter singing for personal only but i want to be able to record the music on 1 track her vocals on another track be able to edit and mix down any ideas on how to do this would be a big help if nessary i could play the cdg in a karaoke player record the audio music then record the vocal but would love to do all on laptop if nessary thanks ray ray

Moved to Singers & Hosts Wisdom. This is not a question for Microstudio as it does not have the capability you are asking for.
