Plextor 708a and scratch marks

I'm getting close to purchasing a Plextor 708A (the model compatible w/ the latest Microstudio) and happened to find a site that users are reporting that this model causes scuff and/or scratch marks on the media. Here is the link address:

Has anyone who has purchased it and burned CDs & DVDs had the same problem? Would like to know before purchasing...

Admin: any experiences???

Cordially,
Mark

I haved had my Plextor PX-708A for three months. I burn DVD's and CDG's weekly. The only problem I have had is with the original firmware tht didn't like some DVD+R disc's. But never noticed scratched disc's. The currect firware to use is 1.06.

This is a great burner.
