Microstudio on a 2nd PC

I have Microstudio 4.20 on my desktop PC. I am having trouble with my burner on the PC, so I need to install the program on my laptop or another PC, with a working burner, for the time being.

1. I am allowed to have MS4.20 on 2 different PCs, correct?

2. If yes, what is the best way to do this...connect the laptop to the net, and download the program and use the same reg code?

I really dont want to uninstall Microstudio from the main PC just now. It is my workhorse.

Thanks for any light you can shine my way.

You got it Harry. Since you have only installed Microstudio one one computer you are clear to install it on a second one. Just make sure you are online and all will be fine.

Thanks as always Jim! I have 2.612 on my old show PC, so I used that to get me out of the pinch, but I will want to probably put the new version on my laptop.

When you download Microstudio save the file rather than run it from the website. Then you can use it to re-install if you need to without having to download again.

Since you have 2.612 on another machine, this will count as an install. In other words you have Microstusio on your old machine and on your desktop.

You have two options. You can get online and uninstall 4.20 from your desktop then install it on a machine with a good burner or you can remove 2.612 from your old show machine and contact MTU support and they will clear you to install 4.20 on a machine with a good burner.

In other words 4.20 will uninstall and reinstall without contacting MTU.

(If you remove 4.20 and reinstall it, you can then upgrade your 2.621 version to 4.20. )

It all depends on which two machines you want Microstudio on.

I hope this helps

i uninstalled ms on my old laptop and re-installed the new version 4.20 on my mini netbook, playing the songs are fine, except for the garbled stuff, i havent tried importing anything yet, since my (asus ) mini netbook doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. uninstalling and re-installing ms was a breeze...
