Songverter won't work

Everytime I try to convert songs, I get error messages. the latest is as follows....

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id = 0xf44(3908), thread id= 0xe28(3624)

Click OK to terminate
Click Cancel to Dbug.

Clicking Cancel, locks up the program.

I tried downloading and installing lame_enc.dll
and that did not help.

Tell me something that will help!

- Joe

You may not have this error, but it is a good description for updating your windows which is what I think your problem may be.

After updating uninstall and re-install Songverter and be sure to use the lame_enc.dll that is recommended by MTU. It is the only one that has all the functions needed.

Error

Your fix didn't work. I tried all the things you suggested and still got the same error. The process id and thread id changed, but the error stayed the same.

What next??????

Looks like may be a Windows error message. Are your Windows service packs up to date?

By Googling thread id= 0xe28(3624) I found some other manufacturers products getting this same error message and their solution was in the service pack upgrades.

What version of Windows are you running?
What types of files are you trying to convert? (From what To what)

I'm using XP, Media center version and trying to convert .wav to mp3 and CDG to bin or zip. I've tried every conversion listed and can't get any to work.

Using:
eMachine model T5216 (2.66 ghz)
2 gigs of memory
mucho hard drive space.

I am not sure exactly what your problem is. I agree with George that it has to be a Windows problem, but if you have done ALL the updates, then that should have fixed it. Aslong as you have at least service pack 2 and Netframe loaded it should work.
