Cant Start Microstudio error message

I wonder if anybody can help with problem.
When I installed the new update microstudio 2.5.0.6 a box comes up asking me to select one of 3 options: Repair, Update, or Remove, I had version 2.4.00 installed. I selected remove on the first install. when installation had finished I tried to open microstudio both from the shortcut on the desktop and from the Start, programs menue and was getting the dreaded microsoft message saying microstudio MFC Application Has encountered a problem message with the do I want to send the report or dont send report to microsoft. I did both of the above on different occations. If I set the comatibility so it will run in win. 98/me it will run. I have set the aspi drivers to run on both options and it will not run under xp.If I run in safe mode It will also run.I have installed all new aspi drivers (latest drivers and cheched with the aspicheck). However I do have nero 5 burning rom with all the updates installed, I also have downloaded and installed the new aspi driver for nero the one you suggested in one of your threads and all the instructions about nero have been implemented . I even got a program to remove nero from registry But still no good.
Its strange but I had the same problem with Ver. 2.4 But got around this see my thread (microstudio ver 2.4 will not start in xp) on the 2nd April 2003.
So I wonder If anyone can Help
I am running XP with sevice pack 1 and all neccessary updates that work. I have been running this progrm for quite a number of years On win. 98 and me with no problems.
Please can someone Help.
