Post Re: cassettes

wmccorm,

Hi, Wallymeister here. You will need a digital audio editor program. I will recommend a program called Goldwave, from Goldwave Inc. It is probably the best out there for the money. You can download and use a trial version to test out it's functionality and useability. It will give you the ability to do what you're wanting to do plus it has alot of other neat functions too.

Here is their website. http://www.goldwave.com/

Hope this helps,
Wally

Re: cassettes

You have either used a monaural file or you exported a monaural file from Goldwave. Karaoke requires a stereo file, and will play what you give it assuming it is stereo. Thus, it is playing at double speed.

Use a stereo file and make sure Goldwave is exporting a stereo file. If you use a mono file, you probably can make it stereo with Goldwave.

Re: cassettes

If it's playing back real fast, another possibility is it's not saved at the right speed. Load it back into Goldwave, then click EFFECTS, then on the pull down menu select PLAYBACK RATE. Make certain the playback rate is 44100. mhz.
