Write Failed, User Abort?

Using Microstudio 4.006 with MTU purchased burner. About 3/4 through the disk write process it stops with a "write failed" error. Closing that I get another pop up window that says "User Aborted". I didn't abort or click cancell or click anything for that matter. I have tried this with two different brand disks and get the exact same error in the same spot on the write progress bar.

I am using Vista Ultimate, Core 2 Duo 2.8, 2GB RAM if that has any factor.

If it is exactly the same spot, you may need to look at taking the file it is trying to do at the time out and see if it will burn all the way through.

I burned up a few more disks screwing around with this thing and it doesn't matter if it is burning one track or 20, at about 3/4 of the way along the drive stops spinning and the write failed error comes up. Closing it gives me the user abort message in a baloon.

I am thinking it has to do with finalizing the disk??????

Take the model number from the drives information in Microstudio and do a search on internet for firmware update. I know there was one out a while back, but I can't remember exactly where and I am displaced at the moment (Hurricane Ike).
