Please try another disc. This error is meaning that your CD-R drive is not seeing a disc in the drive.

Try putting other discs in and make sure that Windows is seeing the disks under My Computer or any other program.

Question Reboot

Unregistered,

Have you tied to reboot? When I copy more than 4 cdg with out a reboot it will give me this error. I've notice that when you're doing your copy (back up) DON'T go to the play Tab, finish your back up than reboot and you're in business.

The copy mode takes lots of Memory I guess.

Also, you might want to disable your antivirus when doing your back up.

Good Luck

If it will recognize or Play other discs then it is not the drive. Can you try putting one of those Audio Discs in the drive, that is working and try that in Microstudio to see if you still get the same error message.

If it is only this 1 disc that is giving you this error in Microstudio, it may also be the Security that has been put on the disk by the manufacturer.

What type of CD-R drive is it?

This is odd, other than the CD+G function of the drive has a problem. The only thing I can think of is to try flashing the firmware of the drive. If you give me the drive brand and model number I can find this for you.

Here is the link to download the latest Firmware from Plextor for that drive: http://www.plextor.com/english/suppo...firm_1610.html

Give that a try and see what happens.

Unregistered,
What version of the software do you have? When you say the demo works flawlessly, which drive are you referring to. The premium or the 16X?
