Unhappy Hoster 5.40.01 Shutting down

Has anyone else had this problem with Hoster 5.40.01?
It has happened to me four different times a song will play then a message comes up saying The parameter is incorrect!
I have to go to task manager to shut down Hoster and then restart the program. The song that has just played will still be there when it restarts, I delete it then go on to the next song without any problems. It happens once a night it is not the same song each time. I have no idea what is going on...

Thanks in advance, Susan

Re: Hoster 5.40.01 Shutting down

This has been known to happen when trying to back down to previous versions. As you say you are using 5.40.01, have you at some time updated to either 5.40.02 or 5.40.03 ?

Some upgrades use extra data fields then when you try to revert back the old versions can't read these extra fields. It can also happen if you added some of the extra genre types in a later version then decided to go back to 5.40.01.

Other than that do you edit your database outside of Hosters own edit dialog ?

Is it always the same song? Or is it four different songs?

Re: Hoster 5.40.01 Shutting down

What other programs are you running when you can not maximize/restore Hoster? I have tried everything I can think of on Win 10 and Windows 7, and I can never make it Fail as you and Roy can.

Also can you try this.

Also, for anyone have an error such as "Incorrect Parameters" when playing a song, please make sure you do this. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3041857
