Unhappy MicroStudio 4.001 WMCreateReader Error

I just downloaded MicroStudio 4.001 and installed it on a new installation of Windows XP Pro (SP2). When I tried to launch the MicroStudio 4.001 I receive the following error message.

"The procedure entry point WMCreateReader could not be located in the dynamic link library WMVCore.DLL."

I've enclosed a screen shot of the error message.

The other MTU Products seem I purchased seem to launch and work corrrectly.

Help Please.

Rich

Use the link below to go to Microsoft and get all the windows upgrades. use Custom, not Express as Express does not contain all the updates you may need.

Make certain you ger .NET FRAMEWORK. The new Microstusdio requires it.

Smile That Fixed It

I decided to start from scratch and go through the process. I reinstalled WIN XP Pro (SP4), .NET Framework and did all the updates you suggested. MicroStudio works fine now. Thank you so much.

Footnote: MicroStudio does require .NET to be installed, however the MicroStudio Demo brings up a message if .NET is required. The regular Microstudion 4.001 does not. Just something I noticed.

Richpark, thanks for pointing this out. We'll fix that in the next Microstudio release.

Glad everything worked out in the end and that George is here helping others.

Looks like Dale may be out of pocket, so to keep from holding you up I'll answer your question regarding ROXIO.

They are more generally known by the name of their product...EASY CD CREATOR, a burner program.

EASY CD CREATOR 5 has been know to cause problems created by a program in it called TAKE 2, which was removed in their version 6.

Do you have it or any other burner software installed that could possibly causing a conflict? The three most common probably are EASY CD CREATOR, NERO, and PLEXTOR'S own PLEXTOOLS.
