Question keychange: cents and semitones

Some on-the-fly software changes keys but using cents not semitones. Is it 100 cents per octave or how is the conversion?

Re: keychange: cents and semitones

It's 1200 cents to an octave.

Here's some info on it.

Hold the Phone Pilgrim

There are other plugins that work (or don't work) on a percentage. I wanted to calibrate one of these so I worked out a little spreadsheet and it seemed to work but only if I added another semitone. Are my calculations screwy or is the plug-in screwy?

Semitones down or up and percentages (rounded to nearest tenth of a percent)

-12 50
-11 54.2
-10 58.3
-9 62.5
-8 66.7
-7 70.8
-6 75
-5 79.2
-4 83.3
-3 87.5
-2 91.7
-1 95.8
0 100 (At original pitch)
1 108.3
2 116.7
3 125
4 133.3
5 141.7
6 150
7 158.3
8 166.7
9 175
10 183.3
11 191.7
12 200
