External Drive Option?

I have purchased new laptop, Hoster and Mircostudio from MTU in December 07. Happy with all. New to KJ and have limited song inventory. Some patrons wish to use thier own cd-g which I have no problem with. But on a few occasions thier disc was either slightly warped or had a paper label. In the slim line drive on the laptop these disc may flutter or rub causing error. The patrons make comment that thier disc work fine at home. I took one of these disc and it worked fine on both my pc and karaoke machine. So I ponder if I was to purchase a external drive from MTU for my laptop if it would have more clearance so as not to rub or flutter making the cdg useable. Opinion and thoughts would be appreciated.

Their external drive is a full size drive for desktops so yes it would have more clearance. If the disk is warp though you may still have problems.
