Lightbulb How to remove Laptop hum

If you have a hum in your laptop karaoke system, and want to fix it without using hum eliminators and a lot of cables...

this is the safe answer.

Re: A product to take the hum out of your laptop system

Some other products go into the Audio line, and contain a transformer. These can reduce the quality of the signal. The unit I recommended, your power adapter cord plugs into it, and doesnt affect the pure audio signal.

Also it eliminates more cables and junk to carry around with the laptop. It can remain plugged onto the laptop power supply.

I just wanted to pass this on to all the laptop users out there with this problem.

This is the answer to remove your hum.

It is NOT safe to remove your system ground, and this should not be done. It will reduce ground loop noise. HOWEVER, MTU DOES NOT RECOMMEND REMOVING YOUR GROUND PLUG BECAUSE OF THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK.

The above mentioned hum removal device is the safe way to solve the problem of hum between different audio generating or processing gear.

Anything else you do is not approved by MTU.

Noise removal is a very difficult thing to do, especially if you are moving your setup from one venue to another.

Everyone should allow time to setup your equipment at a venue before you start your show. This includes removing noise. OFTEN... there is no way to remove all noise. Having a Uninterruptable Power Supply with a Noise/Spike suppression filter is ALWAYS recommended. Having a HUM SUPPRESSION FILTER is also an excellent recommendation.
