Won't read final track on Sound Choice

I have several Sound Choice disks that I can't read the last track. The disk has 15 actual sound tracks and 1 dummy track. The 15th track gets about 3/4 of the way thru and sends a read error.

I am using 2.613 and a Plextor drive I just received from MTU.

These disks copied completely when using 2.513 and a very old 12x Sony drive. Unfortunatly the drive puked and I was forced to upgrade.

Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. It plays all of track 15 then crashes the player. I have to kill the process to get my machine back. I have Roxio Creative Suite 7.5 installed on this machine also.

What you are experiencing is a multi-session disk. If you will look in the folder where you saving the imported files you will see that all the tracks are there. This problem has been fixed in Hoster but not in MicroStudio yet.

Here is the error I get:

Error: Unable to read AUDIO sectors 258331 to 258356 on device 1-1-n
Ilegal command request (04h 00h 02h 05h 64h 00h)

The disk is 2 years old and was able to be copied with the older software and drive. Any ideas?

What is the DiskID? I can check and see if it is a multisession disk. If you are import the disk to your hard drive and then burn a copy of it, the copy will play ok.

I get the error message before it starts to import the final track. I does the first 14 no problem then just stops and the error message pops up.

I'll post the disk ID tonight.
