Angry Installation Problems

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THE MICROSTUDIO PROGRAM TO RUN AFTER INSTALLATION. WHEN I CLICK ON IT, I GET A MESSAGE THAT THE MICROSTUDIO.EXE FILE IS LINKED TO MISSING EXPORT DDRAW.DLL:DIRECTDRAWCREATEEX. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. I HAVE INSTALLED AND UNINSTALLED TWICE, BUT I KEEP GETTING THE SAME THING. HELP.

Dancepartypro,

DirectDraw is the part of the DirectX application programming interface (API) that allows manipulation of display memory. It provides this functionality while maintaining compatibility with existing Microsoft Windows-based applications and device drivers.

You will receive this error if you haven't got installed the correct Direct X drivers or if DirectX has been corrupted, reinstalling, should get you running; you can download them by clicking here.

Before you download them, make sure your graphics card supports the latest version (9.0) by visiting your card manufacturer's website. If not, download version 8.1

This should fix your problem.

Good luck

Jon
