Send me a private message and I can tell you about a couple programs that work. You will need to have a dual layer DVD writer in order to accomplish this with the software.

Microstudio 3.000 is capable (with the right drive and DVDR discs) of backing up Super CDG discs. However... when we tried to make a SCDG backup, it read the image in, and wrote it out but failed to finalize the disc. Thus, it was not useable.

We are 98% sure what is the reason and it is under our control.

We will be releasing a 3.001 version later this month, and backing up SCDG discs should be working in that release.

The Super CDG disks that I have were double layer DVD's. I might be mistaken but I thought Microstudio 3.0 would only backup Single layer DVD's. I used a different software to do it and double layer disks were about $13.00 per disk at that time. The disks that I backed up were CAVS disks. I don't need them anymore though. Hallelujah!!!!

You are correct in what you read, but that was wrong.

When I wrote the manual, I though we only did single-layer. However, I was wrong. It will do what the drive is capable of doing. The DVD drives MTU sells are double-layer capable and did read in the 7GB file from the SCDG disc.

That's even better. That feature when fixed and implemented will save some people some serious $. I had to buy software that would do it so if you are going to fix it in 3.01 that is great.
