FORGET THE IDEA that ANY Karaoke or Music song is free. They are NOT! They are copyrighted and you do NOT have the right to get them free.

Also, if you own any MTU products, open the manual (Help menu, Read Manual command), find and READ the LEGAL LICENSE you agreed to when you installed OUR software. If we find you are using our products in any manner disallowed in our License agreement, we will revoke your right to use our products.

If you are not an MTU customer, please LEAVE our Forums... and our Industry. We don't need illegal thinkers ruining the Karaoke Industry for all of us.

It is people like you that are giving Sound Choice and Stellar Records the desire to intimidate all in the Karaoke Industry.

If you think I have been harsh, please either change your attitude and realize you MUST buy every song you own, or be taken to court and made an example of.

I correct you (and others who may read this) for your own good. It is ILLEGAL to obtain a copy of any Music or Karaoke song for free. PERIOD!

He is now blocked from our Forums.

Let all be warned who want ILLEGAL FREE COPIES of songs....

Unfortunately there is no way to keep them out unless you restrict the forum to registered users, but then potential customers can't get in.

re: FREE KARAOKE

Not for nothing, but what if the person wasnt talking
about commerical songs ?

..it is possible to get some FREE karaoke songs,
using programs such as the MTU suite of programs
you can make your own karaoke from your ORIGINAL
SONGS.

...so if someone does do such and wants to make it available
for FREE then that is their right.

I'm not saying this is the case, BUT it might be...
just another side of the coin (so to speak).

I am not sure whether that is legally correct. The person creating the karaoke song would have to have a license to be able to distribute those.

I don't think that rational would hold true other than your own original written material.

If the music used to create the tracks were outside public domain, and no fees were paid, it would seem that would violate copywrite laws.

...or course I was referring to both original music and lyrics,
which would mean that you own any rights to said material.

..again where this might not be the case in question it is
a viable answer to the original question.

Lyrics, I respect your point, but let's get real here. The topic of this Thread is "Finding Free Karaoke Songs?"

He isn't looking for public domain songs. He doesn't care about it being legal or not. In fact, rozigoo isn't an MTU customer and is now banned from our Forums.

Bootleggers look anywhere they can. There is no concern for "legal". It's me... me... me... and they are causing all of us a LOT of problems, more yet to come I assure you.

MTU's Digital Rights Lawyer is an International expert. She is fighting for Consumers rights, but the rampant theft going on is making it an uphill battle.

When theft rules, LEGAL people will loose our rights. Count on it happening.

Stop making apologies for thieves. Call them what they are and work to STOP them. If honest people don't stand up against what is wrong, we will all suffer.

As for me and our company, we choose to stand up against theft.

No I agree with that fact that BOOTLEGGERS are causing way too many
problems these days, and whereas YES he problery was in fact talking
about illegal songs, i was mearly just trying to state that it is poosible
for to say a statement and have it taken the wrong way.

Especially since the whole industry is in an uproar right now, and
ditigal karaoke is not exactly looked on as favorable.

and i dont this is gonna change until some gets sued and brings it
to court and into the public eye so that the current copyright laws
can be changed to allow for the current flow of technoligy.

Sorry to say but no you can not do that. You do not own the copyrights and you have not paid licences to use that music or lyrics of that music. Also if you used that music to make money playing them at a karaoke show and someone in the music industry caught you... they would most likely take you to court. Hate to say this but nothing in karaoke is free... Programs to make your own mp3+g songs are for personal use only and not public use.

Also to mention p2p programs and downloading anything of CDGs off them is also very illegal.
