Xfering KMA's To Another Computer
Howdy
I like to make sure my KMA files are good before I use them for a show. All are checked by me. Can I create KMA's from MP3G on one computer, take those new KMA's and xfer over to another computer? How does this affect the numbering for the song book. I would like to convert my MP3+G's to KMA's, take the KMA's and put them on a CD and then load them into the show computer. Thoughts??

Re: Xfering KMA's To Another Computer
you can drag and drop the kma's to another computer, but make sure the book id is the same on the new computer.
after dragging and dropping, just rebuild data base. |

Re: Xfering KMA's To Another Computer
If the new KMA file that was built on the desktop computer is new to the current song database on the "show" laptop, how do I ensure the same book ID number, as you stated above? If I convert a MP3G on the desktop that has no songs in the song database, it will give me the next book ID number. This ID number may already be in use on the "show" laptop.....how do I ensure the xfered KMA will have a usable book ID number? During the process of moving can the book ID number be changed? Am I just slow?.....

Re: Xfering KMA's To Another Computer
I just read the following thread (Duplicate Book Id Numbers) and think I have answered my own questions. Importing from 2 computers is my problem.

Re: Xfering KMA's To Another Computer
planning. just take a note on what the next available id# is on your show computer and manually set that id on the computer you are using for importing
