Problem with New Laptop

so I got a new laptop and since Hoster was already installed on two machines... an older version... I went ahead and purchased the newest version and downloaded it to the new laptop. I got a new terrabyte external hard drive...exactly the same as the one I already had... and duplicated all my files.

Now I go to the program to import the hard drive files onto the new laptop with the new software and it does not recognize any of the kma files.

what the heck? what am I doing wrong, or not doing, or need to do?

thanks.

Make sure you have done all of the steps on this link.

Your problem is most likely that Vista is hiding the KMA files from Hoster. Turning the UAC off (one of the steps) will stop that from happening.

did everything you said. no result. the kma files are on the hard drive but when I click import files from hard drive it gives bin...cdg...***+g, and zip as buttons but there's not even an option for downloading kma files.

Here is what you need to do, the Build Songs Database Part in this Faq.

This will read in and use all your .kma files.
