Songbook issues

Having songbook issues!!! When I merged my song database it said I have 13,724 songs, but the songbook only contains 4926!?!?!? I am not very computer literate, but those two numbers just don't add up in my books!

It would depend on what items you set to include or exclude.
Best bet would be to read thoroughly in the manual about songbook setup and what each setting does.

One way to truly know how many songs you really have is to check the folder where you store them, the properties will show @ the bottom of the explorer window to tell you how many files you have. Some times if you build a database with several folders to search it will give you an incorrect # at first but will only import those applicable. Do a rebuild of your database with only the proper folders in the list and all will be corrected.

Hi Jim. I did that and got the same thing. There are 13 thousand + songs in the folder but still only 4 thousand in the songbook. Any other suggestions?

What settings are you using in the Songbook creation?
Do you have it set for Entire Songbook including new release pages, or BookID Range, or Duet songs only, or Multiplex songs only?
Is Use the Exclude Checked items checked? If so what is checked in the right column?
Are all the files in the folder KMA files?

If you do not have Access, then download the viewer at this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Open C:\MTU\Hoster\songs.mdb with the viewer and check the total number of records.

The Songbook is compiled from the Songs Database and not the folder where the KMA files are located. Make sure you don't have a duplicate copy of Songs.mdb anywhere else on your C: drive, by doing asearch for the file. If there are any others beside the one in C:\MTU\Hoster\ then delete them.
