K.pro Installation

Hello I got Karaoke Suite #4 but I do not have connection to internet so I have not been able to run Karaoke Pro , there is any other way to get my ID to install the program ? I already instaled the others (Keyrite , Microestudio and Vogone) but Yesterday I could not read a Original CD+G I have at home. Do i need to install first K-PRO to run the other Programs ??

Best Regards.

How are you sending this email then

Hopefully they will pick up on this and send you an email. I think what you can do is that you can find the mac address and send that to them (Don't do it until the ask for it) but after you send them the mac address off of your Network card (you do have a network card in that system don't you?) they can generate a serial number for you.

When you are ready to get your Mac Address do the following:

Click "START" Click "RUN" type "COMMAND" in the window that opens up type "ipconfig /all" a bunch of information will scroll on the screen. The number you want is the physical address that will look like this: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx

Hope that is what you need

Vogone is a hit and miss thing. When it is a hit, it's a real hit.

For example, there is a song done by Tenacious D called "TRIBUTE" I had a lot of requests for Tenacious D and the only song of theres that existed was "Wonderboy." In that I have an odd crowd, but fun, I set out to see if I could devocalize the original.

Most of the music is guitar and then there are the singers (who I wanted to get rid of). So, I plugged the song into Vogone and ran it through the mill. Usually, if the default settings don't give the desired results, I don't bother hoping that I can reduce anything else by adjusting at all...

Well, I ran this soung through and it sounds great. The vocals are minimized almost to no existance. I used Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge to edit thing that I wanted to keep. I keept the accapella "bop" number as well as the devil's lines. I cut them and pasted them into the devocalized version.

I think one might call me of the old school because I try to synch a song in one play through. KPro has the ability to edit AFTER you have tapped in the song synch, but I try to do it right the first time.

Now, when you get a song that doesn't work in Vogone, I wouldn't even try to continue. If, however, you don't mind hearing more of the background singer, then fine. If there is Echo in the original recording, this echo cannot be removed from the end product in Vogone.

Here is a simple way to look at how Vogone works. Vogone compares the two audio channels (left and right) whatever is the same, it eliminates and then puts the left and right channels back. Most vocals and Bass Drums are centered between the left and right channel, hence they should come through both channels equally. Echo causes the vocal patern to be spread around between the channels and therefore it is hard to eliminate it from the original recording.

You might notice as well that the finished product will have diminished Bass... just goes with the territory. I believe that MTU has some algorythms that they use to help better reduction of vocals versus bass and theirs is the superior product for price and ease of use, but it all comes down to the original recording.

I am left manufacturing my own music using Reason and Sonar. I have made some excelent songs this way and it makes my show very unique. In the United States, I have the biggest collection of Broadway/Showtunes. I have added songs from very obscure plays and movies that my crowd rather enjoys.

Hope this is helpful.

Unhappy K-Suite Installation

Ihave just purchased k-suite from mtu and am unable to get the program installed in my computer. Keep getting Error message that the file is corrupt and cannot be used. I could only get microstudios to install but can't even register the other programs I have already received my serial # by e-mail but I can't get anything else registered. I removed microstudios to try to reinstall but now I can't get past the registry screen because it says I've already registered. I'm not very good on a computer so I desperately need help!

network card

By network card, do you mean ethernet. If so, I do have that in my computer. I can't get any of the programs except microstudios installed.
