Problem Recording Song & Voice - Audio card not supported by Windows

Amd Athlon 1500+ Ghz Processor
Windows Xp Pro
Creative Lab Pci/128 Sound Card
256 Ram
Sony Crx230ee Cd Burner
I Purchased The Mstudio4000 And Downloaded The Upgrade Mstudio4001.

The Manual Said That The Song Is Recorded Every Time That It Plays And Is Stored In A Temp File.
When I Save This To The Wave File Format As Designated It Does Not Have Anything In The File.

In Forum I Read That This Is A Problem With The Code That The Program Is Writen In.

Is There An Update Available To Patch This?
What Sound Card Is Working With The Program?

I Would Appreciate More Info.

Thanks,
Rick Crosby

4.001 was the patch and it was fixed.
Check your recording properties to make sure that one of the 12 listed names is in there and selected. You can find those names under Tools/Recording Settings in Microstudio.

Recording Song

Dale,

All Of The 12 Items Are Listed.
I've Tried To Play The Wave Recording Using Windows Media Player And The Creative Play Center.
The Length Of The Recording Is There But There Is No Sound.

I Have Checked All Of My Volumn Controls And There Is No Item Muted And The Controls Are All Mid Range.

Rick,
You can not have all 12 items. The list in Microstudio is just a reference list not what you have.
When you open the Volume Controls, click on Options (upper left corner)then Properties and select Recording. Then check the window below the playback and recording boxes to see if 1 of the 12 names is there and checked. If so then click ok. This should change your Volume Controls to a different set. Again look for the same name and verify that it is selected and the level is set to about 3/4. If it isn't selected close Microstudio and reopen it. This should select it and set the level.

Recording

Dale,

After Checking The Properties I Realized That My Sound Card Is Very Out Of Date.
I Put In Another Sound Card That Is Have And it Is Working.
I Guess That Loyalty To Old Technologies Does Not Work With New Technologies.

Thanks For Your Help,

Rick Crosby
