getting serial number for KHPRO

I had older version of KHPRO do not remember having trouble getting set up. I deleted it, bought this version now it does not recognize my network adpater. says none found but when i go to the control panel then to network adapter it says the device is working properly. in order to get set up you have to have this part of the setup....how do I go about it... how do i get past this point??????
