Graphics Issue / Play Tab

I am running :

WinXP Pro,
512MB RAM,
1.7CPU
RAGE128Pro 32MB Display
SBLive
CDROM Drive is Plextor 482448A.
Hard Drive WD 7200rpm

I am using DirectX 8, and MTU's ASPI Drivers.

I can play Karaoke from either the CDROM drive or the hard drive, however I am not getting the scrolling graphics... just the intro grahic page. The audio is perfectly fine too. I have tested with store bought disks as well as my custom ones. They work fine in any other player.

Any ideas?

Misschiff

Mischiff,
Please make sure that you are using DirectX 8.1 or higher. You can download DirectX 9 from: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?threadid=772

This should fix your problems.

Bryan. I though DirectX 8.0 was sufficient. For any upgrades in Microstudio or other software, minimum is DirectX 8.1 or higher? I also noticed on ASPI, higher is required. What happens if we upgrade, will the higher ASPI also be included?

The newest version 2.4 includes the aspi drivers in the down load.

Karen,
Yes, we are now using features of DirectX 8.1 so this is now the minimum requirement.

The ASPI Drivers are included in the Micrsotudio 2.400 installation.

I still can't get the graphics to scroll. No reply from tech support either. I've been waiting a few weeks. I even reformatted the computer & had MTU as the only program still no go. Direct X 9 is even installed. What's going on here.

You just registered this month. This is your first post indicating a problem, and you've been waiting a few weeks for support ?

If you will follow items 3-8 under MTU CUSTOMER SUPPORT that came with your download instructions, perhaps one of us, or MTU staff support through regular channels can help.

Please explain more in detail what you mean "Can't get the graphics to scroll"

1. Is this in Microstudio?
2. Is this in Karaoke Home Producer?
3. What is your Operating System?
4. What is your CPU?
5. Are you trying to play a CDG?
6. Have you run a program called "AspiChecker.exe". If so are any errors reported?
7. What Aspi Version is reported? 4.60, 4.70, 4.71?

This is in the newest version of microstudio 2.40. This is on a Dell 1.5 with 512 PC800 ram on windows XP Professional. When you hit the play tab the screen opens & you see the title of the song you are trying to play but no graphics. This problem never occured in the older version. And of course I'm playing a CD+G

Whoops,
KJZONE, we crossed in the mail. You can take it.

I will ask if the older version was completely uninstalled before installing 4.200 ? And add ASPI drivers are integral with version 4.200.

Take care,
George

You still haven't answered with the information on your ASPI Layer........9 of 10 problems are with the ASPI Layer.

Videopro.....

Although MicroStudio 2.40 comes with the correct ASPI Layer, you need to run the program AspiChecker.exe and tell us if the ASPI Layer has installed correctly......

AspiChecker DOWNLOAD LINK:

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/sup...ey=aspichk.exe

If the Aspi Layer is installed CORRECTLY, it will say so and give you a GREEN PANEL.
