Importing CDG files.

Help!!
I have just down loaded hoster to my toshiba P35 laptop and have imported file from CDG karaoke disc.
When trying to play the track I am getting full colored computer screen changing from green to blue to orange etc and no graphics at all. I am recieving sound but very poor reproduction. I have read that this may be caused by the " M-Audio card defult Codec sampling rate??" Say's to change setting from 22,050 hz to 44,100 hz. Were do I find it to change this setting please. Using windows XP home edition. My computer skills are very basic so please be spacific with your process for a solution. thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Gary O'toole.

My best guess would be in the control panel Multimedia, but the best thing for you to do is check with Toshiba. I hope you aren't expecting great sound out of the laptops speakers. I have had a couple of Toshiba laptops and the speakers really aren't that good. If you attach some external speakers you will get better sound.

Gary,
then the next step is to get all the Windows updates. To do this use the Custom update rather than the Express from their update web page. The Express update will only install what Microsoft thinks are "critical" updates, but there is more that needs it. Also, check Toshiba web site for any hardware driver updates.
