Trouble burning Sound Choice

This is not the first Sound Choice I have burned.

Just received the PX716A internal drive from MTU today, The PX read the cd. When I tried to import the select songs from Sound Choice to the Hard Drive as BIN files, I received an illegal command. It said Error unable to read audio 0-25. I also tried this on a PX 712UF going through the same proccess, no luck. I am using Microstudio 6.10 upgrade which I bought on 3-13-2005.

Re: Trouble burning Sound Choice

Take a close look at the center hub on the disc and see if it says anything about MEDIA CLOG, or anything similar. if it does, it is a copy protected disc.

Re: Trouble burning Sound Choice

George, yes you are right. There is a warning near the bottom of the cd that says MediaClog, CDG will not play in computer.
Is there a way of burning this cd? I also e-mailed Sound Choice to see what they have to say.

Re: Trouble burning Sound Choice

Here's a thread that has a lot of discussion regarding successes and failures copying Media Clog protected discs.

http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?...ght=media+clog

Reading some of these almost makes me think some may have been confusing Media Clog with Multisession, a somewhat different copy protection method, and easier to get around, from what I gather. I've never bought either one and can't say personally.

I've also read in the forums that Sound Choice quit using copy protection and .ill replace them with a non-protected disc for the cost of shipping and handling...don't know how true that is.

Take care,

George
