BsHup,
To tell you the truth this is a Windows Problem with your system. I am not sure how to tell you what to try to fix this, other than Reformat the system. This ntdll.dll is a critical part of the OS, and if something is crashing this, then you have major problems.

There may be one of our clients that is in the forums that will have a better understanding of what this exact file does. I am sure we will get some more answers.

Here are some sites that Google came up with when I searched for the ntdll.dll file http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...ntdll%2Edll%22

Take a look at some of these, they may give you some answers also.

Bryan,
I have XP Home. the numbers and other info that I had given was not from my error. It was from the prompt details XP gives you when a problem arises and it ask you if you want to send a report to MicroSoft. Most of the details are specific data to the id of my machine. I'm not sure you even needed that, but I had read in a earlier post that you wanted all the info about a problem we could give. Everything worked fine until I tried to burn the CD*Gs with MicroStudio. At that point I would get the prompt that an error had occurred and did I want to report it to MS. It gave me the options of viewing the details. I learned to day that everything I gave you was ID info not the problem.

I just burned the same songs, but only in wav files with real player and they burn fine. Would a dll only effect MicroStudio.

Question Restore?

bshup,

if you say it was working 2 months ago, how about going back 2 months by doing a restore?

Have you install some new program in the last 2 months?
We're you running XP Home at that time or did you upgrade from 98 or Me?

Think of what you install or change in the last 2 months.
Also try to disable your antivirus before burning, no program should be running while you're burning.

Good Luck

error

I did install one of those pop up blockers about a week ago. several things have been wierd since then. I bought this computer with XP Home on it. This is my 1st experience with anything above Win 98. Does XP allow you to back track like that. I once had 1st Aide 97 where you could.
thanks for the help
Barry
