Yamaha CRW4416S

Hi,

I am new to this forum so help me out here. I have a problem
with my Yamaha CRW4416S, it copies everything ok (audio, data,
etc) but when it has finished recording on the cd and just before
finalising and ejecting the cd it displays the error message:

"Could not Perform Fixation"
"Burn Process Failed at 4x(600KB/s)"

Does anyone has any clue what does this error mean and what
is going on with my CD Copier. After getting this error I eject the
cd and try in a normal cd drive to see if it reads but the normal
cd drive does not read, the cd just spins.

Thank you

It sounds like your drive is dying. The drive is not finalizing the disc, which is why it will just spin in the other drive.

You might try going to Yamaha's website to get the latest version of Firmware for that drive, but it might not have been updated in years.

I am not sure what else to tell you to try, other than this. Also does it do this in all software or just Microstudio?
