ASPI Drivers for MicroCD

ASPI Drivers For Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP

For application software like MicroCD, Microstudio, CD Creator, CDRWIN, etc. to control a CD-Recorder (IDE or SCSI) on a Windows PC computer, you need an ASPI driver. Since Microsoft's WNASPI32.DLL ASPI drivers that come on the Windows 95,98,ME CDROMs appear to have the same file date (they all show version 1.00), it is risky to use this to distinguish the version. The version that you should have installed is 4.60 (1021).

1) Download this version of ASPI first: http://home.t-online.de/home/3100209...0001/aspi!.exe Once you have downloaded this file, double click on it. Once it has been installed then reboot the computer.

2) Download this latest version 4.60 (1021) of the ASPI drivers: ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi32.exe Double click on this file to install it. Click the "Upgrade" button once it appears. This will start the installation process. It then will ask you to Click the "Reboot" button to restart the computer.

3)Once the above 2 steps are done, then try to run the following file and it should show all 4 files with the Version number 4.60 (1021). ftp://ftp.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspichk.exe
