Microstudio 4.3

I have Microstudio 4.30 for 1-2 years now. I have 20000 songs and using Windows 7 home. It has always worked. Then I tried to open it the other day and it got an "incorrect serial number" error. It said to reinstall it.
So, I did. Now it will only load 3200 songs of the 20,000 songs! I uninstalled and reinstalled again. Now Support is telling me that I have a bad song file and that I have to find the bad song file! I don't believe I have a bad song file because I just rebuilt my Hoster Data base using the same file and no problem there! And the thing is I had not added any new songs! So why would it all of a sudden have a bad song file when it was working perfectly a few weeks before?! Please help.

Re: Microstudio 4.3

When you say you built your Hoster database using the same file, Hoster database is built from the KMA or KMH headers. Microstudio reads the actual file name.
So they are not really using the same file.

Do you have a mixture of KMA and KMH files ?
When click on the folders button and the dialog opens, have you got a single folder showing ?
If so do you have the subfolders check box ticked ? only if not then it is only looking in that parent folder.

If you could take a screen shot of the folders dialog and attach it to your post might help.

Other than that it could be a case of trying to find which folder the error occurred in, you could look down the song file list click on the header column of the file name which would sort them into folders that have imported. Are there a number of folders in this list or just one or two ?
Can you tell from looking at the file paths where it stopped or which folder is at fault?
