Anyone experiencing problems with new version?

These are a few problems I am having with the new version of Microstudio:

- Slower importing
- Slower writing
- Scrambled playback
- Only one instance of software allowed open at a time
- Less convenient to choose folder to import into

I am kinda sorry I upgraded. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Upgrade to Version 3.004

Go on-line with your computer
Run Microstudio
Click the Help menu
Click the Check for Updates command

On the page that appears, click the DOWNLOAD button
Select SAVE to your computer
Select a folder where you can find the installation program later

Find the downloaded installation program (microstudio3004setup.exe)

Run this and choose REMOVE
After it finishes, run the installation program a SECOND time

This will install 3.004 which is faster.

Version 3.x is a new program, written from ground up. There were too many "new feature requests " for us to continue adding onto the older 2.6xx code that has evolved for 10 years.

We are targeting more at consumers to widen our market base. They don't like all the flexibility of Folders we had in the past. Thus, we have made it transparent to use one Folder, and all our programs are passed that Folder when run from Microstudio. Also, when you import, you don't have to go looking for where the files went because your play and import Folders can no longer be different. Sorry... that's the way this point is today.

Speed is improved. If you don't notice it, your drive may be bad. You can test by going back to V2.613.

Selecting a Karaoke CD or Audio CD in the My Songs window, and adding tracks to the Playlist currently imports the track to a TEMP folder, which is deleted when you finish. We are working on new code to play directly from the CD, but that is a few months off yet.

Just wondered if you got the newer version and did it take care of your problems?

Same and more

I had the same zero byte file size problem with 3.003. Upgraded to 3.004 and have done one. It does work now.
BUT
I can not get it to save with the simple file name as before. All I can use is a simple: SC8598-01.bin type file name.
It now puts all kinds of other stuff in the file name. I'll be darned if I will rename each and every file name...

This program is far too rigid..
