What is this???

I just bought the latest version of Micro studio and the first disc I tried in my drive was a NEW Sound Choice disc that is suppose to be protected. Guess what IT PLAYED PERFECTLY.

I later today was able to copy the disc to hard drive through the import tracks and then even later today burnt it to disc.

Media Cloq has been broken.

Wish I knew why it worked.

Geez...I've been dying to know how to get around it. I still haven't bought any Sound Choice discs.

Lemme know.

Question I don't think so...

We have done nothing to break MediaCloq. I don't think the disc you are using was protected.

Please verify if it is or not.

1. Post the Sound Choice disc Identification number here.

2. Also, look at the area of the disc just outside the center hole. Does it have MediaCloq printed in this area?

it is Sound Choice 8721. It says it is protected by media cloq just below the disc number in the blue area of the disc.
Wincdg Pro refuses to play it at all. In the CDRWIN import all that comes up are the numbers the dots that are normally there are absent.

George the disc was just released on DECember 6 of 2001.

Unhappy Media Cloq CD - No Go here...

I have Sound Choice SC8709 which is marked Media Cloq as well as "Media Cloq CDG's Will Not Play In A Computer". Using 2.314 and a Plextor 1210 burner (with Win2K Pro) I can display the tracks, but they will not play. I get Unable To Read Audio Sectors 0 to 25 on device 1:0:0 Illegal Command Request when I try to import a track.

Apparently Media Cloq is working here. My last SoundChoice disc. They are a bit overpriced anyway....

I use an HP writer. I personally believe after talking with a buddie of mine that owns a plextor and Microstudio that It matters what brand of writer you have to be able to break Media Cloq with Microstudio.
