Please help!!! Key change possible???

Hi,

Is there a program that enables me to copy karaoke disks(cdg) but, change the key first?

Basically, I would like to back up my purchased discs, in 'my' key.

This would enable me to play them a live situation on a compilation disk and in set order.

Does that make sense ?

Thanks,
John Welsh.

Sure is a way to backup your karaoke discs, or make custom discs with the keys changed to your singing range.
Micro Studio is the building block of the system, it allows you to both back up discs and make custom discs: 39.95

There is an add on for Micro Studio called keyrite that allows those back ups or custom discs to be made with the key changes: 39.95

Both can be purchased at www.mtu.com, or if you wish there are demo down loads to try, with limited use. You will love the full versions.

Don't forget to check out the requirements for these programs, all cd burners are not created equal, the Plextor burners seem to work best with this system.

I hope I answered your question..

Jim

Thanks Jim.

Do I need Micro Studio or does Keyrite work on its own?

Yes you need Micro Studio, like I said, it is the building block, Keyright is just an accessory for Micro Studio.

hi John:

Once you purchase Keyrite, the solution is easy.

Simply import the songs you want as CDG files to your hard drive using MicroStudio, then open the files using keyrite and change the keys to your heart's content.

Good luck

Jon

Jim, you're only half right. You need Keyrite to change the key but if you already have another program capable of writing to disc, then Microstudio itself is a luxury, although why anyone woul not choose Microstudio is beyond me. Microstudio gives you the added ability to check your work to make sure it is ready to be written or make sure your import of the song into the hard drive was successful- good quality and that. but if you trust your writer and have the goldenhawk program all you have to do is change the .bin extention to .cdg and you're good to go. Keyrite is a stand alone program. Again I Prefer Microstudio for the reasons I have already stated- to make sure the quality of the import is up to snuff and that the key change worked perfectly.
BY the way for Mtusupport, I tested keyrite with a cdg file and if you use it to start the song's play- every KJ knows it takes time to get people up between songs- then the present code from keyrite should work.
