Unhappy Is special CDG drive required to import?

When I sent into Microstudio I tried to import music from an audio cd to wav, but it did not like the CD drive I am using. I can see if I were writing to a CD, but not sure why it would require a special drive to read for this function?

mmusher,

You should be able to import a .wav audio file to the hard drive.
Did you make sure to click the .WAV button on the imports page under where it says 'Import File Type As". That's easy to overlook.

I dont' recall the exact drive make and I am at work so . It is a simple IDE CD r/w drive 48x speed.

I am pretty sure I selected import as .wav but will try again tonight.
