Problem

When I try to open Song Book in Hoster I get a pop-up that states \"Not A Valid Bookmark\" and Song Book will not open. I have Windows 7 and Hoster 5.41.05. I would appreciate any help.

Thank you,
Ernie

Re: Problem

if you go to Import Songs\\Repair database, this should fix your issue. This means your database got damaged, this should fix it so that it opens correctly.

Re: Problem

Bryan, I left clicked Import Songs and the Import & index Songs Database opened. I right clicked Import Songs and nothing opened. I didn\'t see \"repair\" anywhere.

Thanks,
Ernie

Re: Problem

I donít think that feature was introduced until 5.50.

It would show direct from the Tools menu/import songs as shown in attachment.

I would think the only other way to repair the database was to rebuild it.

Re: Problem

Roy, I can only get one view. How do I delete Hoster so I can install it again. I have the .exe file to download it. I don\'t remember what it was, but there\'s some place I\'m suppose to get and install win word??? It\'s been a lot of years since I\'ve had to do anything like this.

Thanks,
Ernie

Re: Problem

In your 1st post you state your using version 5.41.05, as I stated the repair option did not get added till version 5.50.
You dont have to delete Hoster to re instal, if you have the .exe file for 5.50 or above you should just have to double click it to run it and then choose upgrade option to instal it.
You have to have Microsoft Word installed and winword.exe is the executable file to start it.
You can print a songbook with Windows WordPad but I donít think it will do multiple columns.

You can re download the Hoster 550.setup.exe file from the main site:
http://www.mtu.com/upgrades/hoster.htm

Whether your eligible for free upgrade from your version I donít know.
If you have to pay you might be better off getting the latest version.

Re: Problem

Roy, 5.41.05 was my last upgrade. I don\'t have 5.50. It will not let me build database. I\'m going to mess with it tomorrow and if I can\'t get it to work I will probably upgrade. Thanks for all the help.

Re: Problem

If you have the 541.05 setup.exe file you should be able to just double click that to re install your version, still choose upgrade from the installation screen when it appears.

Alternately you should be able to re download that from the address above without charge.

Re: Problem

Roy, The third time I downloaded it and went to Build Database, it finally let me start counting my .kma files. Everything is back to normal. Thank you Roy. As always I appreciate your help.
