if i'm not mistaken you are allowed to install ms into 2 comp./laptop, provided you already have it installed in 2, if so you have to uninstall/removed it from one of your comp. but you have to be on line to do it..

Just adding a word you missed Billyo.
And yes you are allowed to have it on two computers.

Uninstall Microstudio from second computer

Hi, Ide appreciate your input. I can't seem to find the way to uninstall Microstudio on my second computer so I can reinstall on a new laptop. I'm not real good at hi-tec stuff so can you be very simplistic in explaining the steps to uninstall?
Thanks,
Ed

Easy, run the mstudio421setup.exe program on that computer and choose "Remove" Then go to the new computer and install it. I would suggest you wait for an hour or so to allow the server to clear your registration from the old computer.

Thanks for your response. I'm not sure why, but I entered setup.exe in the search window and nothing comes up so I can't find the set up. That has been the problem. When I originally downloaded microstudio 4.20 a few months back I selected "run" and not "Save. Is this the problem, could it have been deleted when I deleted the temporary files on the computer?

That is why we say to SAVE the file instead of RUN. SInce you don't have it on your computer yes you will need to download it again. Save it this time, then you can copy it over to the new machine to install. However it will be 4.21 now which is no problem since this would be a free upgrade.
