Slow writing image to harddrive

This is taking an un-godly long time to copy the cd to the harddrive, the burning of the disk is nice and quick, anyone else having this problem? and how to fix it?

In Microstudio, check the Drives menu (top of the screen) and the Speed Selection command. Make sure your Reading Drive selection is set to the max your CDR drive claims it can handle.

I say claims above because this number is pretty much fiction. If it claims 40x, you might get a sustained 10x or 12x across an entire disc. Thus, don't get too upset when you don't get (and you won't) 40x.

When asking for help, please give the software version you are running, and the CD-Recorder drive you are using.
