recording on microstudio

i read that 4.0 is now able to record to a hardrive.will you be able to record using a mic that is plugged into a mixing board ?, or the mic has to be pugged into the laptops/pc mic input..?

Mic input has to be sent back to the computer. This is recording directly from the computer sound card. Some mixers are capable of this (have an unamplified output for each mic) and others aren't so would depend on your board.
