Karaoke Dvd Disc, Not Cdg...

Hi,
I'm ready to purchase the USB DVD+R Burner, External Mount, but a bit unclear on the difference btw. Microstudio and Hoster requirements.

What I'm looking for is: 1) ability to back up my Karaoke discs; 2) ability to copy/burn selective tracks from multiple discs to create a compilation disc, etc.

My Karaoke discs are Karaoke DVD, not CDG. This may cause a problem. I don't know why, but most Vietnamese karaoke discs are DVD, not CDG. Will Microstudio or Hoster have problems reading/writing from Karaoke DVD? In the text, it only reference CDG... hate to buy the burner only to find out it's not compatible.

Also, I tried playing karaoke dvd discs on my PC, the music is much slower than normal. Don't know or understand...

If you can answer my questions above, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Currently neither program can work with the DVD formated songs. Hoster may be able to temporarily import the videos but does not add them to its database.

I did a karaoke contest about 6 months ago, and wouldn't you know it, the first contestant brought in a DVD karaoke. Worked with several different programs and followed the instructions on the disc, but could NOT get it going.

Took it home and couldn't even get it to play properly on the cd/dvd player or my karaoke machine, go figure, sheesh!

Cool Karaoke Dvd

Thanks. So I guess this is something hopeless, unless MTU comes up with a product to handle karaoke DVD disc.

I hope to hear from a MTU rep regarding this inquiry...
