plextor px716a writing trouble

i just purchased the px716a internal drive with the 2.610 software for microstudio. at first the reading and writing to mtu disc went smooth but on playback i encountered the graphics would not move from the opening songtitle page. i posted on the microstudio section with no responses and to be honest this is driving me nuts so now i'm here. after reading the forum i went to the plexor site and downloaded the latest firmware for the 716a and now it reads ok but when i go to transfer to a blank mtu disc it just sits at the "recording pregap" part of the transfer. even when i try to play the original disc from the play portion of microstudio i get the freeze on the title screen. i have an 80m gig internal hd and plenty of memory (1gig). any help would be appreciated because being not to familliar with this stuff is really getting me frustrated .

The only things that can cause this are the you don't have the latest drivers for your Video card, Windows Updates or your Sound Card needs to have the acceleration adjusted. You can read how to fix the sound card at: http://www.mtu.com/kb/index.php?page..._v2&id=11&c=13
