Red face Windows XP

I just upgraded my computer to windows XP - It was installed over my existing windows 98 SE operating system so I didn't have to re-install all my software.
Now my MicroStudio is coming up with an Invalid Registration error. I tried to re-install it - and it re-installs, but it doesn't ask for my registration information again.
What do I need to do to get this up and running in Windows XP?

Bim,
You must remove the software from your computer. When you update 98 to Xp, it doesn't carry all the registry entries correctly. You might not beable to reinstall the software since you have done this.

What you must do is remove the Microstudio from your computer, then you can start over and reinstall the software.

Lightbulb Best Installation

Even know Microsoft recommends installing XP over any previous version I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OPTION!

If you buy the upgrade XP version and if you own a previous OS version (need the cd) you can boot your computer with the XP upgrade disk and do a clean installation, Format in NTFS than you will have computer that will work so much better, faster...

The cd on your old Microsoft version is required only for proof and it will be ask during the installation.

Might not help you but for others?

Regards
