2.506 Still Clips Songs

Just thought I would advise the company that once again, the clipping issue has not been fixed.

I would not consider this a big deal if MTU would indicate that this problem cannot be fixed, or that they want to leave the problem in the program. They have not indicated this. Since I don't know if they intend to fix this problem or not, I will continue to remind them that it exists.

Before anybody indicates that they have not experienced this problem, please play the songs that clip for me on your own computers. Try the early Multikaraoke discs, especially 1 and 2.
Discs, extracted files, no difference. I made a non-cdg copy of one of these discs and there is still a clip (no difference)

If you don't work with files that others say clip, then you are like a scientist that says "I have worked with rats all my life and have not come across any cases of Mad Cow disease. Therefore, for me, it doesn't exist"

Who needs that kind of opinion??

Play Mode Only

Of course I am only talking about playing these songs using Microstudio, not about duplication or extracting. (I would have edited the original post, but still am unable to, even though others have been able to edit their's)

Status of clipping problem

Thank you for reporting this problem. We would like to remove this clipping before the end of a song is finished. I don't know how difficult it will be to track down the problem.

We have to fix the 8-bit play mode, which will likely involve the same play code as this clipping problem. Thus, I'll schedule both to be worked on by our programmer after KPro 5 and Hoster 2.01x are released.

Also, thanks for reporting that you could not edit. I found that to be correct and have enabled editing for you and all REGISTERED users.

Thank you Admin

I admire the work that it takes to do programming. I did one class to pass off a minimal requirement for a degree and I see how difficult it is.

I know that sometimes the program includes "if then" kinds of instructions. Since the discs and files play wonderfully until that last little part at the end, it seems that somewhere there is an "if-then" instruction that tells the program to stop processing the song if the sample is less than x size. (Kind of like the remainder in a division problem) The music is not affected if the ending Logo holds on long enough. My theory is that Microstudio clips all songs, but does not always clip the music.

That's THE LAST of my Kindergarten sleuthing. I will just be satisfied knowing that you are doing whatever makes sense in this regard. I hope the problem gets fixed, but I can see how it might not be possible. I have my own fix for my files. Since HOSTER is the same code(??)I just hope that when someone brings their disc to a "HOSTER" show, they don't leave with that "The @$#$#@ KJ cut my song off early!!" feeling.
