Updating Song Database In Hoster

Hi! I wonder if there is a way to update the discs that are in the database of the hoster. It is quite out of date and I have to type in too many of my discs by hand. Is there any way to update it as new discs come out so you only have to click on the particular disc instead of adding it all by hand? Thanks!

Cynthia, according to MTU not yet but they are working on it. More than likely though it will late this year as they have a lot of other things on the fire right now.

Some people do use a work around, but since I don't use it I will let one of them explain how to do it.

Updating song database

I agree with Cynthia about the need to have a accurate updated song data base. After having to type in 60 new disks about 950 songs my fingers were tired of doing the walking. I use another program to make my songbooks that has a quarterly update for new disks/songs. I would love to be able to update Hosters database using it. Or even better is the way Windows media player does where if you are online you put in a music CD and all the information comes up! while not being 100% accurate it still beats having to type everything in. You can edit the information as needed. Thats just some food for thought.
Yeah what is this work around mentioned in the previous posts.

Here is a technique I use to get around the database dilemma. It requires a piece of software that can copy from your screen to a text file. I use SnagIt.

1. Go to an online database that includes CDG disc's.
2. Find the CDG of interest and display the songs on the CDG.
3. Screen copy to a text file.
4. Go to Hoster's "Import CD Tracks" screen.
5. Copy and paste from your text file into Hoster's import window.
