Change song folder location
Hi folks. I\'ve two Toshiba laptops running Hoster V5.50.04 and until recently duplicated song folders so that should one laptop \"die\" for any reason, I can swap to the other without any problems and without affecting song numbers in my song books....... until recently. Is there a way of changing the location of one of my song folders without affecting song numbers in my books? My bad! Suggestions please...
Regards Lloyd

Re: Change song folder location
Are you talking about just a single folder or all ?
For a single folder, from the Tools menu select Songs Database/Build Database. Look down the list of file paths in the bottom left Payne and select the one you want to move then click the remove folder button, follow the prompts in the dialog. You only want to remove the folder not delete any kmh. so select (Leave kmh) This will just remove that folder from the database but not delete any files. Now close Hoster and move the files or folder to where you want it using windows explorer. Once thats complete start Hoster and again open the build database dialog but this time use the Add Folder button and Brows to the new location, be sure to be in the folder you want and can see the list of files your re indexing and press select this will rebuild them into the database with the same book ids as before.
