Microstudio 4.06 won't import CD tracks in Vista 64 bit

I have been unable import the karaoke cd tracks into Microstudio 6.0.0.4. I am running a computer with Vista 64 bit operating system. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks, Bill

I quote from the Microstudio page on the MTU web site:
Computer Requirements

  1. A Windows/PC computer with at least 2GB of free hard drive space. NOTE: Microstudio 4.001 and higher requires Windows 2000+SR4, or XP Home/Pro/Media Center+SR2, or Vista with .NET Framework v1.1 or higher. Microstudio 4.006 will NOT... repeat NOT... run with Vista 64. We know the problem exist and will fix it in Version 4.20.

In other words, it won't work. When they do get it fixed and the new release out (don't know when) I do believe it will be a free upgrade.

MTU did attempt to make it work but was not successful and I doubt they will try again, since Vista is being phased out by Microsoft.

If you say so.

What I am wondering is if they just aren't going to address the 64-bit operating system at all even with Windows 7. I have plenty of other 3rd party software that works intrinsically with the disk drives and they don't seem to have a problem with 64-bit Vista. I am just really frustrated. I will get off my soapbox now. With more and more people sticking 4GB and upwards in their machine the trend is definitely towards 64-bit architecture...or hadn't you noticed?
