Unhappy External burner

I just bought a new external burner, a Pacific Digital Extreme 24, and it's recognized by the MTU program for audio cd's only ! Now Pacific Digital says it supports the Karaoke format...and that there should be a "patch" available from MTU??? I'd really like to be able to use this burner, that way, I could do whatever, whereever ! Thanks !

Don't have an answer for you, but am curious. Do they specify supporting Karaoke in CDG format or are they saying Karaoke in the broad sense, which could mean VCD or some other format ? I got caught up in this a couple of years ago whan Acer claimed to support Karaoke, which was true, but not CDG, the popular Karaoke format.

Take care,

George
