Newb needs Help on Install - Windows not fully updated: Use CUSTOM not Express!!!

I've copied my setup file and a txt file named registration.txt on a CD and have tried to install on laptop (XPP, SP2). I keep getting the same error message:

Error Number: 0x80040703
Failed to Find DLL Function: _ismtu.Set.Product
Setup will now terminate


Any help would be most appreciated!!

I believe that in particular, you're looking for the .NET framework.
