Stereo Cables Not Consistently Delivering Stereo Sound via Headphone Port

Greetings,
I sincerely hope this finds everyone in good health and spirits during these very trying times.

I am communicating my dilemma even though my solution may require hardware replacement support for my computer headphone port.

I have a significant number of cables that appear to have a stereo design (double rings on the end of its connection) however, not all of these cables are delivering a stereo sound when my music is played. I am now down to one cable that delivers a stereo sound all of the time so my need is to resolve this issue ASAP.

Could this issue be remedied by a sophisticated port extension/adapter, or perhaps a more reliable cable purchase? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.
