Will this card work for 2nd display for Hoster or do I have to go with the Radeon cards that have been mentioned in these forums. The model of the card is Matrox G450 Dual Head 32 mb AGP Model: G45+MDHA32DB. Thanks for any information on this.

Re: MATROX G450 Video Card

I have a G450 but the second Head is not active.

It was the difference between the 450 and the 550.

My 450 has tape over the second Head. Make sure yours can actually support DualHead, which it could if it has all the chips installed.

My G550 worked great for Hoster. I think that my 550 only had 32 Meg of RAM so I couldn't run any other programs while Hoster was running without a crash.

I have a Matrox P750 Triple-Head with 64 Meg of RAM and I can run several programs along with Hoster.

So, I think 64 Meg is the Magic Number on Video RAM.

Hope this helps,
Norm
